The founder is the leader of the Wikia. This chart shall contain the leader(s), description of the user rights, the day they were promoted, and current status, either active or inactive.
|Username||User Rights||Promotion Date||Current Status|
|ScreamKings||Founder||February 26, 2016||Active|
|The Criminal||Administrator/Bureaucrat||April 15, 2016||Semi-active|
These functions include:
- Deleting and undeleting pages, page histories, and uploaded files.
- Locking (protecting) a page so it cannot be edited or renamed by users without admin rights or autoconfirmed status.
- Blocking IP addresses or user names from editing; and very quick "rollback" of undesirable edits.
- Editing the interface by changing system messages and skins.
Being an admin or being promoted to an admin is a really huge step from being an editor to a manager. If you have trouble finding out stuff about being an admin, just message the founder on his Message Wall. There are some things that administrators can and cannot do. Here are some examples.
Becoming an administrator
If you want to be an admin, someone with bureaucrat and/or founder rights has to make you admin. No other admin is allowed to make someone else admin. The founder knows who should be admin and/or bureaucrat, so don't make an application. The founder shall hold any admin contests to appoint an user admin. Favoritism isn't tolerated on the subject of appointing an admin. The user has to be responsible for every decision she/he makes.
What should administrators not do?
Administrators should not use their own powers to settle editing disputes; for example, to lock a page on a version he or she prefers in an editing dispute that isn't vandalism. What they should be used for is to help keep the wiki clear of anything from vandalism to malicious edits made by users, and not for simple disagreements with users acting in good faith. In general, 'administrator' is not a status in where you're fully 'in charge', but you have a few extra buttons to help out with the Wikia.
